Popcorn Nutrition: Health & Nutrition : Is Popcorn a Healthy Snack?.
I use a little maybe tablespoon of olive oil and five shakes of salt on a batch…which fills a 5 quart cooker….am I good???
When I was coming to texas, my friends said, they have capital punishment there!!!! I couldn’t get here fast enough…Very happy and so far been here five years and not even nominated for “death” row…Peace!!! Found a nice church though…thanks Gianni
Wow…How do you keep your teeth so white.
Listen, people. You don’t get fat from popcorn! Even when you drizzle butter on it. Yum! Let’s get real. It’s better to focus diet efforts on real culprits- NOT on reducing calories in healthy foods like popcorn & yogurt. Lo-Cal & Fat Free versions of those foods are silly. Eliminate Big Macs, French fries, full calorie soda, icecream, etc. Enjoy popcorn!
As with toast or popcorn, it would be down to trial and error I guess. Horses to courses and all that.
Toast is NOT good for you!! Do the research! But then again, I’m a vegan who is healthy and fit.
It MUST be air-popped and organic (can get at Whole Foods). The ONLY oil to use is organic extra virgin Olive oil (spray on the popped corn for taste) and you can use a little Himalayan salt which contains all the natural minerals. You can’t get popcorn any healthier than this.
I pop it in a non-stick wok with a lid and it doesn’t stick as long as I keep it swirling every few seconds. A healthy topping would be a light sprinkle of extra virgin olive oil and paprika or chilli powder. Also Tabasco sauce+ chilli or paprika is good it sticks and no need for oil. I’ll try your garlic powder
