Low Fat Diet: the big fat truth about low fat foods.
It annoys me when the so called nutrition experts bang on about how bad salt is without discriminating between processed table salt (containing anti-caking additives), and natural sea salt. Salt is an essential electrolyte, needed for proper nervous system function, and also used for making digestive acids. The studies that show salt raises blood preasure were also done with processed salt – where are the studies on natural sea salt?

Yep. I’ve just finished taking iron pills and UGH all I have to say is fellow ladies, eat the meat! I had a horrible time with those pills and my stomach, they’re painful to take and it takes so long to build those iron stores up again once they’re depleted. I think I was on them (ferrous gluconate 300mg TID) for almost a year. My iron is up but those stores are still slightly depleted. Bleh 18% saturation :
Why not actual food with fibre?! LOL Apples, oatmeal, bran some fiber based cookies, JUICE = combination of fiber and fast acting sugars?! Whole-wheat…? Metamucil?! What is she 80??! Don’t even mention prunes or prune juice heheh

Yea for sure, I think the Spanish have one of the healthiest diets in the world. And probably the best in Europe. :) But this British woman whoever she is will probably never know – they land in Spain and they want their fried eggs with chips, and then for dinner obscenely battered fish. Then they proceed to comment on how wonderful and normal their food is in England and how “bad” it is the rest of the world. HAHA! jk ;)
Yes. I think that we have some amazing food, and as you probably know, the mediterrean diet is considered to be one of the healthiest in the world. The problem is that nowadays little by little, we are starting to leave that diet on a side and start eating more processed food, because our tradicional diet requires a lot of time to be made, and people now don’t have that much time.
Yes, and I think that If you are a female in for period you have to be extremely careful about anemia, because the iron drops faster in that case. And meat is one of the main sources of iron.
Yes, I’m Spanish, from Madrid actually. And as I said, it is true that kids eat chocolate, mostly in their breakfast (like chocolate with milk) and maybe cereals or toast. Thing is that we don’t eat as you do, I mean we have breakfast (not as big as USA’s or Uk’s) and in lunch we eat plenty of food, and in dinner, we normally don’t eat meat, but fish or as you said, tortilla de patatas (which is So good, I love it).
Yes, that’s absolutely what I think. You dont’ eat meat or anything that comes from an animal but you eat those things. I don’t understant it, but I thinks that how that works.
Yes, it didn’t look good at all, and smelled funny, I wouldn’t drink or eat them.
